Hey, this is David Luther. Thank you for taking a look at my EPK. If you have any questions or would like to book me hit the button below and we’ll get right back to you! You can book me as a solo act, a duo, or a band. I look forward to bringing what I love to you and your venue!
David Luther started playing music in high school being influenced by Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Live, Led Zeppelin, the Eagles and Queensryche. He would go on to develop his music as he worked full time in social work for 15 years, with the last five working in foster care and adoption. During that time David recorded his first self-titled EP with Neilson Hubbard in Nashville that included the backing vocals of Americana artist, Garrison Starr. Soon after he was in the recording studio in Springfield, MO with Tom Whitlock who had written the Grammy award winning “Take my Breath Away” from the movie, Top Gun. While a completed project did not manifest, David was fortunate to collaborate with Whitlock and write “World’s Gonna Change”. This song appears on his most recent album, “Take Me Home” which was recorded in Kansas City, produced by David George, and recorded and engineered by Pat Tomek of Rainmakers fame.
David is now a full time artist whose current influences include Jason Isbell, Brandi Carlile, Ryan Adams and many others. David is also a recovering alcoholic and this road has led him up the path of service to others. This journey is expressed through his songs. He says “My experience in recovery and social work have helped me to understand there is so much more work to be done and that people deserve respect, honesty, and kindness. I hope my music will help others find their way out of sorrow. I hope it exemplifies what my true heart is and as a father of 2 boys it will give them the framework that will extend into their own dreams.”
